Real takes a step forward in the Copa del Rey

Real Sociedad delivered a dominant performance to secure their place in the next round of the Copa del Rey with a resounding 5-0 victory over FC Jove Español de San Vicente. The match, which took place at the José Rico Pérez Stadium in Alicante, saw the txuri-urdin capitalize on their superior quality, with goals from Barrene (brace), Magunazelaia, Sergio Gómez, and Goti, securing their place in the second round of the knockout competition.

From the outset, Real Sociedad showcased their dominance. After early chances for Barrene and Magunazelaia, the captain-for-the-day Barrene broke the deadlock with a precise finish from a Pacheco pass. Moments later, he doubled the lead with a stunning strike into the top corner.
