The General Meeting of Shareholders started with “words of affection and support for families affected by the pandemic”.
Aperribay stated that Football Education and Professional Football are “part of a unique model and a joint group. Education is a significant point of reference in La Real’s learning process”. Moreover,
he announced the renewals of Roberto Olabe and Imanol Alguacil: “Thanks to their work, young players achieve the highest levels. We are very happy with their work and we are proud that they belong to the club. Our objective is to deserve and achieve extraordinary and sustainable results ”.
The Txuri Urdin president was ”proud to be able to present a positive result despite of the current situation”. Regarding the stadium he pointed out that "it has allowed us to reconnect with the youngest fans. It is a new experience. There has been an increase in number of members (35,287). The return will be progressive. If fans are not allowed to return to the Reale Arena, that will have to be looked at”.
Finally, when referring to the first team, he said that ”the squad have ambition and will fight to be at the top. We are a club with the right to dream".
