Real is in top form. Today they beat Granada CF 2-0 at the Reale Arena thanks to goals by Monreal and Oyarzabal. It is also their fifth victory in a row, a win which sees Real remain top of the table.
The realistas completely dominated the match. The txuri urdin whirlwind was uncontainable for the away side, handicapped by first-team regulars out. Real created plenty of chances. Monreal found the breakthrough for the txuri urdin after a corner kick whereas Oyarzabal did what he does best. Our captain doubled our lead from 12 yards. The side from Granada tried their luck but the txuri urdin defense was firm at all times. The score was 0-2 before half-time.
The second half was convincing with Real feeling comfortable. Imanol’s side were awarded another penalty but Willian José’s strike was denied by the Granada keeper. After this action, the game took on a much slower pace. Before the final whistle, Granada were penalty awarded but Remiro stopped Machís’ shot.
