Draw leaves a very good taste

La Real drew this afternoon against Atlético de Madrid in a very good and demanding match. The clash offered alternatives for both teams, but in the end, a draw was a fair result.

The match started with a setback. Atlético took the lead thanks to a goal by Morata and la Real were forced to swim against the tide.  Imanol's team played very well after the hard blow, but it is always hard to overcome a goal deficit. There were plenty of chances in the minutes that followed the goal, but they lacked accuracy. Silva failed to hit the target and shot Cho's cross wide, while Merino, after another assist from the Frenchman, hit the ball against the post with his right foot. Atlético, always on the counter-attack, also had the chance to score again with a shot by Giménez that went over the crossbar.

After the restart, the realistas went all guns blazing with the debut of Sadiq who headed Cho's cross to the far post to make his debut as a txuri urdin scorer. It was a party in the stands. The match was evenly matched and could have gone either way but the points were finally shared at the Reale Arena.

This point leaves a good taste in our mouths as it is never easy to face Simeone's side. Despite not getting the win, the txuri urdin completed the game with good feelings and bode well for the future. Go Real!
