REAL SOCIEDAD 0-2 ATLÉTICO DE MADRID

End of the unbeaten run

Our eight game undefeated run came to an end. Tonight Real fell to Atlético de Madrid at Anoeta in a match where everything went wrong. Two goals by Morata in the first half have been the cause of the first defeat of the year for Imanol’s team.

Real would loose one day, and it happened tonight. The match began very even with Real giving their all out there. Willian José’s injury turned things the other way. Six minutes after the Brazilian left, the score was 0-2. Morata scored a brace which did a lot of damage to Real.

It is almost impossible to comeback from a two-goal deficit against Atlético, but Real did try. Imanol’s team went for it but  without luck up front. In the final 30 minutes, Koke was sent off and Real dominated the final part of the game. However, it has not been possible to break down the wall of Simeone’s team.

This defeat ends Real Sociedad’s unbeaten run but we have to continue working as next Sunday we’ll be playing another big and difficult match. Next up for Real is a trip to Seville. Aúpa Real!
