“Football Days Sören Börjesson Memorial”

Real Sociedad, ÖIS, and LaLiga successfully organized the “Football Days Sören Börjesson Memorial,”  featuring a conference and an international football tournament.

The three-day event combined a football symposium and a U-15 tournament with six participating teams.

The conference featured engaging discussions led by approximately 10 experts on topics ranging from digitalization in sports to combating racism and preserving football’s legacy.

• Digitalization in football: Martin Artolain (Real Sociedad) and Adam Stighäll (Forza Clubs)
• Fighting racism and promoting inclusion through football: Juan Fuentes (LaLiga’s Nordic delegate) and Samuel Yngvesson (BK Häcken)
• Legacy in football: Robert Johansson (Föreningen Svensk Elitfotboll) and Pontus Farnerud (ÖIS)

The event concluded with a tournament honoring Sören Börjesson, featuring U-15 teams from Swedish clubs ÖIS, Göteborg, GAIS, and Djurgarden, Norway’s Välerenga, and Real Sociedad. In the final, Real Sociedad defeated GAIS 4-2 to secure the championship.

This collaboration between the three institutions marks another significant step toward strengthening their project of internationalization through football.
