Both of our reserve team sides have returned to work. Sanse and Real Sociedad C began their respective pre-seasons today. The reserves reported back for duty this morning while the third team trained in the afternoon.
Sanse, coached by Imanol Algucil, will start their eighth consecutive season in the 2nd Division B with a young team who will be aspiring to “compete to the best of our ability with each member of the squad ready to make the leap in the new category”, in the words of the coach.
Taking part in the first training session were the following players: Garrancho, Zubiaurre, Lapeña, Sáenz, Ugarte, Le Normand, Gorostidi, Olaizola, Ujía, Guevara, Muñoz, Capilla, Calvillo, Arrieta, Muguruza and Jauregi.
Joining them were younger players: Xabier Cárdenas, Zouridine Thior, Jeremy Blasco and Martin Zubimendi.
Sanse have six friendly games programmed as part of the pre-season to prepare for the start of the new league season on 19-20 August:

Real Sociedad C
This afternoon Real Sociedad C returned to work. In their fourth consecutive season in the Third Division, our third team, with a host of younger, new players (many of whom graduating from the Under-19s), are looking forward to the new campaign with hope, excitement and a desire to continue progressing in their football development in what is a highly demanding division, one which will be plagued with difficulties to test our players.
Coached by Sergio Francisco, out C team look ahead to a season which promises to be “an exciting one with a young team; one which has the objective of continuing to learn and develop and also to compete well”.
The players who wre present for this first session were: Mikel Egiluz, Aritz Aranbarri, Jon Arrue, Benoit Cachenaut, Theo Lucbert, Cristian Rodríguez, Juan Bautista Crotto, Jon Ceberio, Aitor Aranzabe, Xeber Alkain, Iker Garmendia, Unai Agirre, Danel Calvillo, Unai Veiga, Ander El Haddadi, Marcos Celorrio, Alex Petxarroman, Marcos Calderón, Xabi Auzmendi, Ekaitz Jiménez, Iker Bastida, Aritz Aldasoro and Jorge Martínez. Over the course of the pre-season some of the players from the above list could end up joining one of our feeder clubs or playing for another team in a different category within the club’s youth academy.
Julen Mentxaka and Iñigo Celihueta did not take part in the first training session.
Real Sociedad C will play eight friendly matches during the pre-season before the league season gets underway on 26-27 August.
