Mikel Merino is a happy man. Yesterday, he sealed his move to Real Sociedad and met his new home, Anoeta. Accompanied by the President Jokin Aperribay and the Vice President Ángel Oyarzun, the player from Pamplona and his parents made their way to the stadium where he signed his contract with Real Sociedad. Merino told Real Sociedad TV about the first impressions he has had after becoming a txuri-urdin player.
“I’m very happy and feel joy. I love this club, it is very close to Osasuna. I have been a fan since I was little. I am delighted to be here and I can’t wait to work with the ball.” The new txuri-urdin player didn’t have doubts over his future at Real Sociedad “The new stadium project is so beautiful, the team is great, the fans… I will be close to my home again, I will feel integrated. Considering all of the above mentioned, I think I made the right choice”, he stated.
Now, he is at Real Sociedad “willing to grow and help the team. I want to improve and aspire to more ambitious objectives. I hope this is a great season”.
