Imanol, forever one of us

Imanol Alguacil says goodbye as one of the greatest managers in our club’s history. A Copa del Rey trophy, five straight European campaigns, and a Champions League run that made Europe stop and watch — those are the milestones. But above all, he leaves with something even more meaningful: the heartfelt love of a fanbase that has lived its proudest moments under his guidance.

That love came to life today at the Reale Arena. Before kickoff, President Jokin Aperribay awarded Imanol the club’s highest distinction — the Gold and Diamond insignia — met with a standing ovation from the entire stadium. After the match, he shared one last emotional lap around the pitch, joined by his players and staff, saying goodbye to the people and the place that will always be home.
