Real Sociedad took another derby win. Txuri urdin domination at Anoeta in a match which saw Oyarzabal and Willian José scoring the goals that gave Real the three points. In the final minutes, the lions had clear cut chances but the victory belongs to Real!
The match was fast-paced from the start. Fans inspired their team to victory whereas the players put in a very solid performance in which they didn't give the lions a chance. Oyarzabal scored the derby opener and Athletic reacted quicky with a header by Córdoba which was denied by Rulli. In the 45th minute, Willian José picked out the top corner perfectly to give us a 2-0 lead just before halftime. The golazo prompted an explosion of joy from the fans at Anoeta.
The second half was very intense too. However, neither sides created goal scoring opportunities. Ten minutes before the final whistle, Athletic was penalty awarded and scored their first though Raúl García. The final minutes were not for the faint-hearted.
This is a morale-boosting win for Real. The txuri urdin team climb up the table, win at home again and continue their unbeaten run under Imanol. Real face the future with confidence and optimism. Aúpa Real!
