32 years later, we have reached the Copa del Rey final. The match will be played on April 18 in La Cartuja. Since the beginning of the season, Real have been in outstanding form and they have proven their quality. Climbing to sixth in LaLiga, Real will play the final next month and hope to lift the trophy.
For decades, a generation of realistas have been waiting for this time to come. Suffering, nervousness and excitement. We will live it to the fullest. There is only a small step left to be made towards glory.
Tonight, Real had to beat Mirandés at Anduva (1-0) in order to reach the final. Mirandés put in a great performance but the realistas were the better side. In the first half, it could have been Januzaj but captain Oyarzabal tucked away the penalty from 12 yards before half-time and Mirandés could not recover.
Real were taking the lead in the second half but were not able to add a second. Januzaj’s swirling strike crashed away off the crossbar and chances were scarce at the other end.
Real have reached a final for the first time since 1988. It will be epic, for sure. The best is yet to come and we want to lift this trophy. We are close, but the most difficult task is yet to be achieved. The squad is giving us a lot. Aupa Real!
