Real will be in the next round of Copa del Rey after beating RCD Espanyol 2-0. The txuri urdin are through to the last 16 of the cup thanks to goals by Barrenetxea and Isak.
The txuri urdin side were better than their rivals. From the beginning, they have shown a greater willingness to win the match. There were not many chances in the first half, but there was only one team. Gorosabel was close to break the deadlock but it was Barrenetxea who scored the opening goal just before the break. Our forward beat the goalkeeper with a low shot.
In the beginning of the second half, the periquitos surprised the realistas with a few good attacking plays but the txuri urdin extended their lead with a goal by Isak. In the final minutes, Wu Lei had a chance but he hit the post and Espanyol were not able to leave their mark on the match.
Real move on to the next round. The draw will take place on Friday at 13:00. We want more Copa! Aúpa Real!
