Real drew 1-1 against Valladolid in a match which the txuri urdin grew into. The realistas had clear chances in the second half but they were unable to beat the home side and had to settle for a point. An early goal by the pucelanos made Real go against the flow but we rescued a point for the final stage of LaLiga.
In the 9th minute, the hosts took the lead thanks to a goal by Keko Gontán. Heavy blow. Then, Real played better and created some goalscoring opportunities. The txuri urdin put in a good performance and continued pushing until the half-time whistle. Zubeldia’s shot went just wide and Sandro had some chances but he failed to net home.
Real had to rush things, which they did. The second half saw them step up their dominance after the changes with Juanmi and Willian José. They deserved to score the equaliser. It took some time, but ten minutes before the final whistle, Sangalli put Oyarzabal on goal and our number ten spectacularly headed home to reduce the arrears for Real. Some minutes later, Valladolid scored but the official ruled out the goal for offside after consulting VAR. In the final minutes, Real could have won a great victory but they were unable to do it. There are nine games ahead and it will not be easy. We must continue working. On Thursday, Real will face Real Betis at Anoeta. Aúpa Real.
