Real qualified for the Copa del Rey Round of 32 after beating Ceuta 0-4 in a match were they were in complete dominance. Real got through the second round of the knockout tournament thanks to goals by Sangalli (2), Januzaj and Barrenetxea.
The match was not going to be like the one in Palencia. Imanol and the players knew it. Our opponent’s level and the pitch showed that it would not be easy. The realistas tried to move the ball in the first half, but with little success. However, the best chances fell to Isak. First with a narrow shot and then after an assist by Barrenetxea. The locals didn’t let up.
In the second half, Real took control of the possession of the ball. The first chance fell to Barrenetxea, who hit the post before Sangalli beat David to open the scoring. Januzaj added a second with a header and Sangalli scored a brace after an assist from Guevara. Barrenetxea added a fourth to be on the list of our goal scorers today.
