Real Sociedad got off to a winning start of LaLiga tonight as they beat Celta de Vigo 2-0 thanks to goals from Oyarzabal and Zurutuza. This is their first win at Anoeta and their second in a row. Thus, Garitano’s team take three points and climb to eight in the table.
The txuri-urdin players started the game strongly and were looking to make the most of their opportunities. Januzaj and Juanmi had their chances to break the deadlock but Sergio produced brilliant saves to deny them. Real were having the better of the game but without luck up front. Celta were creating a lot of chances too. In the 30th minute, Oyarzabal brilliantly fired the ball into the net with his left foot to put us ahead.
The second half started in style as Zurutuza extended our lead to 2-0 with a powerful header. Maxi Gómez pulled one back for the team from Galicia at the end of the match. In general, Real were superior and finally won at Anoeta. Aúpa Real!
