Real Sociedad players at the World Cup

The txuri-urdin family will be strongly represented at next summer’s World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.A total of four players from the club will take part in football’s biggest tournament.

 The 2026 World Cup will kick off on June 11 in Mexico City.Mikel Oyarzabal, Takefusa Kubo, Luka Sučić, and Gonzalo Guedes, together with Duje Ćaleta-Car, who has already completed his loan spell at the club, will feature in the competition. Spain, Portugal, Japan, and Croatia will look to make their mark, with Real Sociedad players expected to play key roles.

In addition, three more players from the club will join the Spanish national team for their final training camp ahead of the tournament. Beñat Turrientes, Sergio Gómez, and Jon Martín will train with Mikel Oyarzabal from May 30 to June 4, before Spain heads to the World Cup.
