So close!

La Real was close to victory against Levante UD. The positive side is that they take one point and continue on the right track.

The first half was slow and that was where the txuri-urdin players brought up their quality and effectiveness. Bea Beltrán was one of the starts of the match. She could have scored the first goal of the match with a left-footed kick. For her part, Ida Guehai from Levante UD stroke the ball and was close to score. At minute 30, Nahikari provided the assist for the goal and Zornoza scored putting the team in front. It could have been a 2-0 if Bea Beltrán had not lost the opportunity. 

Mostly, the second half was controlled by the local team, who were in search of netting the equaliser. However, la Real demonstrated professionalism. Jèssica Silva fired a fierce effort which was tipped over the bar. Manu and Nahikari plays disturbed the local defense who threw themselves in the match until Ida Ghedai finally managed a draw. There was no time to do anything else.

Thus, la Real take one point and continue on the right track. After the break, they will play against Zaragoza CFF at Zubieta.

Gorka Álvarez gave his thoughts after the match: “The first half was evenly-matched, there were few occasions. Bea Beltrán´s was the most obvious. We didn’t control the match but we felt comfortable, we played on the same level. We suffered during the second half, we had a physical comedown and that led to a draw. I think that the draw is fair”.
