Tonight Real couldn’t keep adding as they drew against SD Huesca at Anoeta. The txuri urdin team had the better of the game but without luck up front.
Real Sociedad needed this win in order to keep climbing up the table and be close to the top teams. Tonight, they had a good chance. However, they had to beat a team which wants to avoid relegation and continue living the dream. Our first-half performance was poor with Sandro and Merino close to break the deadlock but without success. The txuri urdin were not dominating the game whereas the team from Huesca had some goalscoring opportunities. First, they hit the post and then Rulli made a great save to deny Cucho.
The second half was different, though. Real were more than dangerous, and Huesca just defended themselves. Nevertheless, our team did not create many goal scoring chances. They pushed everything they had to try and get the goal to get the three points but they could not make the breakthrough. This draw is not enough to fulfill our ambitions. Aúpa Real!
