Real Sociedad 0-0 Girona FC

Winless run at Anoeta

The squad were hoping to win their next game at Anoeta but tonight, Real failed to record a victory at home. Real played better than Girona and had good chances, its defence was solid but there were no goals. A goalless draw which make the txuri-urdin unhappy.

The realistas pressed intensely to score the opening goal at home. Bautista was close to break the deadlock with a crossed shot whereas the team from Girona, true to Eusebio’s style, tried to had the possession of the ball but were not creating danger. In the 30th minute, Sandro brilliantly fired the ball but he couldn’t open the scoring. It was Real’s best chance of the first half.

The first twenty minutes of second half were not very interesting until Sandro was back in action again. However, his shot hit the bar and Real didn’t get the result that they wanted.
