REAL VALLADOLID 1-0 REAL SOCIEDAD

Winning streak comes to an end

La Real’s winning streak came to an end this Saturday when the team lost to Valladolid 1-0 in Pucela. The Realistas played poorly and come away empty handed as the local effectiveness has been able to overcome the insistence of the side from San Sebastián.

The side from Valladolid began the encounter by pressing high up on the txuri urdin defence and, after a ball over the top, the pucelanos took the lead with a goal by Sergio León. From that point on, Imanol's side began to dictate the pace of the game but failed to fashion some chances. However, they were able to get to the edge of the area. Kubo scored in the last minute, but the VAR review ruled his goal out. The same thing happened to the pucelanos before their first goal.

The txuri urdin began the second half on the attack as they went in search of an equaliser and enjoyed chances. Carlos Fernandez was unable to find the back of the net after a free kick taken by Brais. The realistas took more risks whereas the side from Valladolid had some good chances to add a second but they failed to do so. The txuri urdin gave it their all but they were unable to score and return home empty handed.

It was slow in coming, but la Real were dealt the first defeat in nine games. In spite of everything, their league situation is still enviable. Now it's time to focus on Omonoia. Let’s go Real!
