ATLÉTICO DE MADRID 2-0 REAL SOCIEDAD

Without any option

Real lost 2-0 at the Metropolitano. The realistas have been overcome by Atlético de Madrid which were far superior and there was nothing Real could do.

We were expecting the hosts to put up a good fight but Real started off well. Real didn’t have much possession whereas Atlético did not manage to create much danger. Griezmann’s volley flew over the crossbar while Pardo fired off target twice in quick succession. However, it was Atleti who took the lead through Godín shortly before the break.

In the second half, Real failed to produce their best football. The hosts completely dominated the game and Garitano’s team were unable to find the back of the net. A goal by Filipe Luis was decisive. It is always difficult to score in the Metropolitano but it was a poor performance from Real which missed the chance to come away with a point.

The Copa del Rey will be back on Thursday and we are really looking forward to it! Real will face Celta de Vigo. Aúpa Real!
