Sports thinkers smart stadium contest

25 companies have been selected as finalists

Registration for applications was open until September 21 and today, the names of the 25 participating finalists in the Sport Thinkers Smart Stadium contest have come to light. Real Sociedad, in collaboration with Microsoft and Global Sports Innovation Centre powered by Microsoft invites technology-based start-ups to submit ideas as to how the club can improve facilities using technological innovation at Anoeta Stadium, which is currently undergoing reconstruction.


The selected companies come from seven different countries: Australia, Spain, France, Finland, Hungary, Italy and The Netherlands. The companies will provide solutions in order to help Real connect more closely with its fans and improve the stadium’s safety and sustainability. Technologies based on artificial intelligence, data analysis tools, live transmissions or virtual and robotics reality were very important in the selection process carried out by GSIC and Real Sociedad.


The 25 finalists are: Solos (Australia), Pressenger (Hungary), Macco Robotics (Spain), Cinfo (Spain), Karma Technologies (Spain), Batura Mobile Solutions (Spain), Valorafutbol (Spain), Brintia (Spain), Imascono (Spain), Virtual Soccer Zone by Orwell VR (Italy), Iristrace (Spain), Content Stadium (The Netherlands), Yerba Buena VR (United States), iXpole (Spain), NFCSound (The Netherlands), Vidibond (Spain), Open Camp (Spain), BCaster (Finland), Yarr TV (Spain), WIMy (Spain), Synky BV (The Netherlands), Myruns Technology (Spain), Deep Data (Spain), IMMERSIA Data Visualization (Spain), Digifood (France).
