Today, our women’s team drew 2-2 against EDF Logroño in a tough match that was saved thanks to the squad’s resilience until the very end. Real lead the match from the beginning and had several chances to score, most of which were lead by Nahikari. However, the locals’ efficient defense repelled all our shots, and in the last few minutes of the first half Logroño’s Gonzalez scored the first goal, which became two early into the second half. Despite the odds, the txuri urdin squad fought back and made an impressive recovery just five minutes before the final whistle. Two headers by Iraia Iparragirre and Maddi Torre sealed the deal and allowed Real to stay on top of the table. The squad’s next match will be at Zubieta against Sevilla.
