Agreement over the transfer of Diego Rico

La Real Sociedad and AFC Bournemouth have reached an agreement over the transfer of Diego Rico. La Real, in turn, have reached an agreement with the defender until the end of the 22/23 season.

Diego Rico was born in Burgos on February 23rd, 1993. Rico graduated from his local team youth system. Later, he joined Real Zaragoza and was assigned to the Juvenil squad. In the 2013-14 season, Rico was promoted to the first team, which at the time played in Second Division. He played a total of 109 games for Zaragoza before joining CD Leganés, where he made his debut in First Division and played 58 games. Two years later, Rico was transferred to AFC Bournemouth, making 83 appearances for the Premier League side. The left-footed player is noted as being an excellent interceptor of the ball, and a generally strong defensive fullback.
