Agreement with Luis Llopis

Real Sociedad have reached and agreement with the coach Luis Llopis and will hire him as the first team’s goalkeeping coach. He will be part of Iñaki Ulloa’s staff and will work together with Jon Alemán, Luis Castro and Beñat Etxebeste.

Luis Llopis was born in Hernani 53 years ago. He began his coaching career in football clubs in the province of Guipúzcoa (Hernani and Real Unión). In 2003, he joined Zubieta when he was hired to coach in the club's youth system. He stayed two seasons at the club. Later, in the summer of 2005, he joined Real Madrid and stayed there until 2008, when Joaquín Caparrós hired him to coach Athletic Club’s first team. He and the manager from Andalucía trained RCD Mallorca, Levante UD and Granada CF. In the summer of 2015, he joined the whites again and Zinedine Zidane promoted him to the senior staff. He has been part of the staff who has won three Champions Leagues. After a successful career, he is back home.
