Real’s good form continues. Today, the txuri urdin team beat Celta (0-1) in Vigo. It was a very even match in which the realistas took the lead in the 82nd minute thanks to a goal by Isak. This second straight win puts Imanol’s team top of the table. Great.
Matches at Balaídos are always complicated. Real was superior in the first half but the clearest chance fell to Santi Mina, whose powerful header hit the post. The team from San Sebastián played well but they didn’t create many goal scoring chances.
The second half was more of the same until Cheikh was sent off in the 60th minute. Celta finished with just 10 players and could not make light of numerical disadvantage. Real was the superior side. Isak opened the scoring after an assist from Odegaard which gave Real the victory.
With this win, Real fly high at the top of the table. There are many games left but this start to the league is very promising. Aupa Real!
