REAL SOCIEDAD 0-1 REAL MADRID

All to play for in the second leg

There’s no other choice. To reach the final, La Real must win again at the Bernabéu. In a tightly contested match, Real Madrid’s clinical finishing made the difference. Real created clear chances but couldn’t convert, and against top opponents, that often leads to defeat. The tie has now become an uphill battle.

Real started strong, pressing high and forcing Madrid to take risks in their buildup. Kubo’s right-footed effort and Aguerd’s header from a corner had the crowd on edge. However, in their first  opportunity, Endrick fired a low shot past Remiro to put Madrid ahead. The txuri-urdin responded with a great chance of their own—Oyarzabal cut inside brilliantly but sent his shot straight into Lunin’s hands. It was an unfair deficit given the performance, Madrid’s efficiency in front of goal made the difference. Barrene then forced the keeper into a spectacular save with a powerful strike from the edge of the box.

The second half began with the biggest chance of the match for the txuri urdin. Barrene delivered a pinpoint cross to the far post, but Oyarzabal’s header struck the goalkeeper’s body. Madrid answered with Endrick rattling the crossbar. Real kept pushing, though with less intensity than in the first half. Remiro later produced a crucial save to deny Bellingham and keep the deficit at one.

The result isn’t ideal, but the fight isn’t over. There’s still another game to play, and Real must seize every opportunity. We are Real.
