UD LAS PALMAS 0-0 REAL SOCIEDAD

Another draw

Three games, three draws. Real Sociedad has once again added a point, this time in their first away game of the season. The txuri urdin, in a match that improved gradually, held a goalless draw against UD Las Palmas, marking another draw at the start of the league.

The first half wasn't good for Real Sociedad. They struggled to string together their gameplay and didn't feel comfortable on the field. The side from the Canary Islands performed better and had clearer chances in the first half. A left-footed shot from Sandro that went over the bar and a rebound from Munir, following a corner, which almost surprised Remiro, came close to putting the locals ahead. Real Sociedad hardly had any opportunities, except for a wayward shot from Zubeldia.

The beginning of the second half was a different story. Under Imanol’s orders, the txuri urdin combined better and, exploiting the spaces left by the yellow defense, posed a much greater threat. Past the midpoint of the second half, clear-cut chances started to come. Oyarzabal, with his right foot, couldn't lift the ball over the goalkeeper. Zubimendi's header saw Álvaro pull off a miraculous save. García Pimienta's team responded, ten minutes before the end, with a volley from Loiodice that Remiro, with a great save, pushed onto the crossbar before it went out for a corner. The game went wild in those final minutes, and in a counter-attack, Cho came close to add a goal with a curled shot that was saved by the local goalkeeper.

Another draw in this early league start. The first victory will have to wait. Next up for Real is a game against Granada on Saturday. Go Real!
