Diggings progress

Bye, tracks

The remodeling of Anoeta is progressing well. Those who go to Anoeta to watch Friday’s match between la Real and Deportivo de La Coruña will be able to see the noticeable progress made. The athletics tracks have been digged out and eliminated in order to advance with the foundation works and pilings of the new lower stands.

In the next few days, the excavation of the south half which is in front of the east stand will be finished. On Friday’s match against Deportivo, a decorative tarp will be used to cover the digging.

The excavation of the east stand tracks will clear the way to the elimination of that east stand remaining tracks. These works will be finished before the UEFA Europa League clash against FC Salzburg which will take place on the 15th of February.

The digging of the tracks that are in front of the west stand will continue after the European clash takes place, that is to say, from the 15th of February.

The athletics tracks located in front of the lateral stands will be completely digged out before the game against Deportivo Alavés which will take place on the 4th of March. As above mentioned, a decorative tarp will be used during match days in order to cover the digging.

Once the excavation is finished, works will continue in order to progress with the foundations and pilings of the new lower lateral stands, which will be closer to the pitch.
