The Spanish national team won the European Under-21 with three Real Sociedad players in their ranks in a close game against Germany (2-1). Mikel Oyarzabal appeared in the starting line-up and played 55 minutes. Mikel Merino stepped out on to the pitch in the 78th minute and Igor Zubeldia didn’t play.
