Asier Garitano is Real Sociedad’s new coach. This afternoon, the manager from Bergara has signed a contract to coach the txuri-urdin team until 2021. Afterwards, the manager from Guipúzcoa spoke to Real Sociedad TV.
“I always wanted to coach Real Sociedad. I am very happy and enthusiastic. I wanted something different and I got it because this is a big club. I hope everything turns out well”, he stated. Asier admitted that “I am a Real fan since I was a child. During the league competitions, I went to Atotxa to see Gaztelu, who was from Bergara. Now, I am here and I am glad to be part of this project. I know how the people from Guipúzcoa are, I know where I am and what I want. If they brought me here is because they want something different, they need someone who is able to struggle against stronger sides. Day-to-day work is essential. I try to bring out the best in others so they can compete with the best teams. This is my plan and my ambition. Let’s see how far we can go”, he concluded.
