That summer, he joined Valencia CF, where he played 26 games as a che player until the summer of 2011. Then, he joined Getafe on a loan. He made a great impact and finally signed a four-year contract. He played 96 games with the team from Madrid. On June 2014, before his contract expired, he left the club and joined Atlético de Madrid on a loan. He remained a starter during the 2014-15 season but he lost his position to Jan Oblak. Furthermore, he was a Spanish under-21 international.
