This has been a historic campaign. La Real have rounded the year off in the best possible fashion as they have finished fifth in LaLiga and have qualified for the UEL after beating CA Osasuna at El Sadar 0-1. A goal by Isak in the second half was just the icing on the cake. Deserved. The pinnacle of a remarkable season.
La Real needed to win to secure the fifth place and went out all guns blazing from the first minute. The realistas dominated the game but didn’t create many goal scoring opportunities. The best chances fell to Portu and Guevara whereas Roberto Torres tried his luck for the roils but to no avail.
The side from San Sebastian had to have the ball and control the pace of the game. Oyarzabal continued to press forward and had the chance to score but his shot just missed the target. Similarly, Isak went close but his fierce drive missed the target. It was a matter of time. The visitors continued to press forward and had the chance to go level when Silva tried his luck, but his shot went wide. On 86’ Isak scored the winner for the txuri urdin. This is the end of a dream season. It’s a reward for the whole year and it is also for the txuri urdin family. We return to Europe in style! Congratulations! Aupa Real!
