First pre-season test

Today, Real played their first pre-season friendly in Azpeitia. The txuri urdin beat Lagun Onak 0-5 at the Garmendipe pitch. As usual at this time of the year, the squad had to be able to handle it physically but it was a good test to get ready for the new season.

The realistas, who wore the away kit for the first time today, were taking the lead at the break with goals by Ahien, Januzaj and Isak. The new players were the focus of the match. In the second half, Real had the final say through Portu and Willian José, who converted from the penalty spot.

Imanol’s team needs to be prepared for the whole season and for the first official game. Next Saturday, after an intense week of work, the squad will play their second friendly in Zarautz against Racing de Santander.
