La Real Drew 0-0 against Sevilla in a match in which they put in a good performance. A very young team against one of the best teams of LaLiga. The txuri urdin could have come out as winners but they missed a penalty and have to reluctantly accept one point, which is good.
La Real were superior to the Ansalusian side in the first half. Setting their stall out strong at the back, the txuri urdin allowed their opponents no chances. The realistas had their best chance through Isak, who was denied by Bono. Then, la Real was penalty awarded after the ball hit Diego Carlos’ hand. However, Bono denied Oyarzabal and la Real lost a good chance to take the lead. In spite of this, la Real were the better team in the first half. Isak was forced off through injury just before the break.
La Real came out for the second half looking to dominate proceedings but didn’t cause Bono any problems. Lopetegi’s side tried their luck through Ocampos but his header went wide. The side from San Sebastián finished the match with a very young squad that put on a good show and demonstrated maturity in spite of their age. Zaldua’s shot from long range was the last chance for Imanol’s side. For their part, Sevilla could have added one in injury time but Remiro did a great save.
It ended all square at the Reale Arena. The realistas are on the right track. On Thursday, the squad will travel to Granada. Aupa, Real!
