GRANADA CF 2-3 REAL SOCIEDAD

Hard-fought comeback

It wasn't the most impressive performance, but Real secured all the three points in tonight’s match at Los Cármenes. The side from San Sebastián came from behind in the second half to clinch a much-needed victory.

Real kicked off the game strongly and had a clear chance to take the lead. However, in a set-piece action, Granada's defense cleared Igor Zubeldia's header off the line just as Oyarzabal was poised to push it into the net. The tide turned in the twenty-first minute when Uzuni, following a VAR review, converted a penalty to put the hosts front. Imanol's squad responded well, and just past the half-hour mark, a well-delivered cross from Brais on the left-wing allowed Sadiq to head in the equalizer, momentarily leveling the score. Just before halftime, Uzuni scored again, giving the Nazarís the lead as the teams headed to the break.

In the second half, Real encountered difficulties in generating scoring opportunities, but they managed to level the score ten minutes before the end with a header from Le Normand from Tierney's cross.  Determined for the victory, they pressed on and succeeded thanks to a goal from André Silva. The Portuguese striker pounced on the rebound after Turrientes' shot was saved by the goalkeeper.

A pivotal triumph to sustain their position in the European competition and approach the future with optimism. Despite facing challenges, Imanol's squad pulled through. We are Real.
