Real Sociedad collected another point – this time from the first home game of the season against Levante UD. The txuri urdin started well before dropping in intensity although they were close to sneaking a victory towards the end of the match.
The Guipuzcoanas made the visitors suffer in the first half but while they were almost permanently camped out in the opponents-half, they created few real chances. In the second half, they created more danger - Nahikari had two decent chances to open the scoring but on both occasions she was denied by Paraluta. Levante’s best chance fell to Banini, whose effort struck the post. Etxezarreta came within inches of grabbing a late winner but her long-range effort, on an open goal, brushed the bar.
In the end the points were shared. It was a hard-fought draw against one of the best sides in the league. Next Sunday, the team will be back in Zubieta and looking for the first home in. Aurrera Reala!
