This afternoon, Yangel Herrera and Carlos Soler were officially presented as the newest members of Real Sociedad. Joined by president Jokin Aperribay and Erik Bretos, both players shared their excitement about embracing the challenge of representing the club and wearing the Real Sociedad shirt.
Opening his remarks, Jokin Aperribay thanked the two players and praised their arrival. “They are key additions to a young team with a bright future. Hopefully we will celebrate many triumphs, and that you will help Real live up to its values, defend the badge, and continue growing. I am sure you will be able to guide the team in the coming years,” Aperribay noted.
Carlos Soler underlined his appreciation for the faith the club has shown in him. “I’m very grateful. The conversations didn’t just happen this year; they started years ago. This year it took more time, but we’ve been working towards this for a while. The key thing is that I’m here now, and the trust I’ve received is really important. I hope to stay for many years — this is the ideal place to regain my best version,” said the midfielder.
Yangel Herrera also expressed his delight during his first comments. “I feel very happy and thankful for the effort made to sign me. It was clear the club really wanted me, and that’s something I appreciate. I made my own effort too because I knew this was the right club to help me grow. Now I’m excited to show that they made the right decision,” he stated.
