La Real took one point in the clash played this afternoon at the Alfonso Pérez Coliseum. The locals took the lead in the first half whereas Oyarzabal equalized for the txuri urdin in the second half. The realistas keep adding points.
It’s not easy to play at the Coliseum. The hosts pressed and it was complicated to play the ball quickly and accurately. The realistas tried to adapt to the circumstances and had a good chance to break the deadlock when Portu fired a crossed shot that was stopped by Soria. Lobete also tried his luck but he sent the ball just wide. Just before the break, the side from Madrid capitalized on their only chance of the first half. Sandro won the ball back in midfield before finding the net with an effort that curled past Remiro. The score was 1-0 at the break.
La Real went all guns blazing in the second half. The txuri urdin took full control of the game and started to corner Getafe in their area. Merino had the first chance of the second half. The midfielder fired home with a left-footed shot but his effort was denied by Soria. Then, the visitors equalised with a fine goal by Oyarzabal, who scored a perfect header after an individual skill from Gorosabel. Getafe balanced the game in the following minutes whilst Imanol’s side tried to add a second but to no avail.
La Real got a good point to continue at the top of the table. Next up for la Real is a LaLiga match against RCD Mallorca at the Reale Arena, after the international break. Time to recharge batteries! Aupa, Real!
