Martin Ødegaard’s blistering start to the league campaign hasn’t gone unnoticed – and least of all by the txuri urdin family, who treated him to a rousing ovation on Saturday in his first game at the Reale Arena. The high level he showed throughout August ensured that he was voted MVP in the first month of the competition by our fans.
And yesterday he returned the affection he has gained in such a short space of time. The Norwegian met the public at BM Supermarket in Pagola, in the Aiete district of San Sebastián, where many young fan showed up to meet him in person. Keeping Ødegaard Company during his visit was Txurdin, our mascot. Between both of them, there was no shortage of entertainment for everyone present.
Handing over the prize
The event, held at one of the stores of our sponsors, and a collaborator in Realzale Programa, was also the ideal moment to present the winner of the monthly MVP lottery with his prize - Mikel Martínez, received a signed shirt and a voucher to spend worth 100 euros.
How the contest works
After each game, you will be able to vote for the MVP. Once the deadline has passed, players who receive the most votes get 3, 2 and 1 points for the general classification. At the end of the month, there will be a global count. In the event of a tied vote among various players, the number of votes each player receives shall prevail over the points.
