Real Sociedad will face FC Salzburg in the last-32 of the UEFA Europa League. Fc Salzburg is the team of the fourth largest city in Austria (150.000 inhabitants). Salzburg is located in the northwest of the country and borders Germany. In fact, Munich is just 180km from the city. Even so, Salzburg airport is the second largest airport of Austria.
Salzburg is also known as The City of Mozart since it is the birthplace of the famous composer. Both his residence and the Historic Centre of the City of Salzburg, declared a World Heritage Site, are the most visited places. Another popular spot is Hohenzalzburg Castle. It stands today as one of the best preserved castles in Europe and is one of the largest castles in Europe.
Stadion Salzburg
Its current seating capacity is 30.188. It was officially opened in March 2003 and is the home ground of Red Bull Salzburg. It was one of the host stadiums of UEFA EURO 2008 and is just 30 minutes from the city center by bus.
