Three more points and second straight win for Real. Tonight, the txuri urdin team beat Deportivo Alavés 0-1 at Mendizorrotza with one goal by Willian José in collaboration with Manu García. As it stands, with two games left to play, the realistas are still alive and have European options.
The realistas wanted to repeat last Sunday’s achievement and they went all out from the beginning. There were no clear cut chances but there was a sensation of constant danger. Before the 30th minute, Real took the lead in which was a stroke of great good fortune. Willian José’s shot from outside the box touched Manu and the ball found the back of the net. It was a little unfair but Imanol’s team were doing well. The babazorros had a chance before the break but Zaldua’s performance prevented Alavés from scoring the equaliser.
In the second half, the team from Vitoria were dominating possession whereas Real were defending well. These three points allow Real to move a little closer to achieving their aim of survival in Europe. The txuri urdin do not depend on themselves but they will fight until the end. There is no doubt about this. Aúpa Real.
