The operational meeting ahead of the Copa del Rey final on April 18 took place this morning at the Ciudad del Fútbol, bringing together representatives from both finalists. Real Sociedad were represented by president Jokin Aperribay, while Atlético de Madrid attended with CEO Miguel Ángel Gil. The delegations were welcomed by Rafael Louzán, president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation.
The federation confirmed that more than 52,000 tickets, around 80% of the stadium’s capacity, will be distributed between the two finalists, with each club receiving 25,680 tickets from the general allocation, alongside additional seats from other categories, including designated spaces for wheelchair users and their companions.
Fans will also be able to enjoy fan zones in Seville ahead of the final. Real Sociedad supporters will gather on Carlos III Avenue, next to the La Cartuja station, while Atlético fans will be located in the Las Moreras parking area, beside Alamillo Park.
Due to its earlier founding date, Atlético de Madrid will officially act as the home team, with Real Sociedad designated as the away side. The match will mark only the second Copa del Rey final between the two clubs, following their previous meeting in June 1987 at La Romareda Stadium in Zaragoza, when Real Sociedad lifted the trophy after a penalty shootout.
