Real Sociedad women´s team has become Euskal Herriko Kopa runner-up after losing 0-3 against Athletic Club. Juanjo Arregi´s team couldn’t win the match that took place in Mintxeta pitch.
The txuri-urdin players came out strongly and had the possession of the ball during the first minutes of the match. The txuri-urdin team had the match under control but Garazi Murua scored the first goal after a corner kick. Real Sociedad tried to reach a draw but before the half-time, Nekane Díez scored the second goal from the left side of the box after managing to strike the ball past the keeper to the far post.
During the second half, the txuri-urdin players had some difficulties in trying to reach Ainhoa Tirapu´s goal. In spite of the disadvantage, the txuri-urdin players kept trying to score after the third goal of the opponent team. Erika´s crossed shot in the box finished in goal. At the end of the match, Naiara Beristain and Michi Goto did their best to score. The team didn’t have their best day out there.
After this match, Juanjo Arregi´s team closes its training season and will focus on next Saturday´s first season´s game home against Valencia CF.
