The delegation of the candidature formed by the federations of Spain, Portugal, Ukraine and Morocco, which aspires to be the organizer of the World Cup 2030, has visited the Reale Arena this morning. Our stadium, which is one of the 15 candidates among the state fields, is being analyzed in order to be able to welcome the above mentioned tournament, whose host country will be announced by FIFA during 2024.
In addition to representatives of the Spanish and Portuguese federations, officials from the Basque Government, the San Sebastian City Council and the Guipuzcoa Football Federation also took part in the meeting. Ángel Oyarzun, Real Sociedad vice-president, Begoña Larzabal, business director, and Izaskun Larzabal, the stadium's architect, accompanied the delegation on their visit to our stadium.
