Real Sociedad followed defeat in the first Liga Iberdrola match against Valencia CF. Even that they did their best to the very last moment, the txuri-urdin players were unlucky. However, the opponent team, who had few opportunities, managed to shoot on goal on the counter.
The game started close and there haven’t been many chances to score for both Real and Valencia. In the last 15 minutes of the first half, our girls created two scoring chances during minutes 31and 32: an stoppable left-footed shot from Manu and an effort from Zornoza went out. One minute later, the opponent team was about to score the first goal of the match thanks to Szymanowsky´s shot of the crossbar. In the second half, our girls had possession of the ball until Valencia scored the first goal after a shot from Mari Paz. After that goal, Zornoza shoted and almost scored goal. The local team didn’t come down and did their best until the last moment.
Now, we must think of the match against Athletic. The feedback has been positive and there has been an excellent playing. If they continue working like this, they will get their first points soon.
