This morning, the women’s team drew the match against Santa Teresa at Zubieta (0-0). The girls tried their best to score, but it was not meant to be.

From the beginning, both teams made their intentions clear. La Real were trying to score and were generating chances while the away team were defending well. In the 8th minute, Leire had the best chance of the match after turning a cross from Zornoza from the right flank. The away team generated danger by putting pressure on the realistas. It seemed that the away team considered a draw acceptable.

On the second, the girls from Guipúzcoa kept trying. Manu Lareo was one of the starts of the match. She got close to score but her shot went just wide. In the 13th minute, the referee disallowed a goal for offside when they were already celebrating it. From then on, there were not many chances for the last half hour. The girls fought until the end of the match but didn’t get the win.

Thus, la Real continue with their spell of good luck. Seven consecutive games without losing. Now the team must rest and think of next year. Next, they will face Athletic Club in the Basque derby.
