REAL SOCIEDAD 2-0 CA OSASUNA

This is the Real Sociedad we love

Today marks a significant achievement for Real Sociedad as they secured a 2-0 victory over CA Osasuna, securing a spot in the semifinals of the Copa del Rey. The first half was played with intensity, energy, and accuracy, featuring goals from Barrene and Brais, which allowed the realistas to progress to the next stage—a crucial win for the team.

The match kicked off with two promising opportunities for the visitors, including a pressured shot from Budimir that went off target and a set piece that Oroz narrowly missed. Real Sociedad responded well; in a brilliant play combining Oyarzabal and Barrene, the Donostiarra player skillfully beat Herrera. Just ten minutes later, following a strong pressing from the txuri urdin, the Osasuna defense made an error, and Oyarzabal set up the second for Brais. The match swung further in Real's favor with the dismissal of Catena, who received a red card for a high-foot foul after a VAR review.

In the second half, Imanol's squad controlled the game effectively, allowing little to Osasuna, who fought hard until the end. With few opportunities for either side, the match concluded smoothly for the txuri urdin.

Real returns to the semifinals a year later, marking this as their third appearance in six years. These statistics are a source of pride, but the team is aiming for more. The draw for the next round will be held next Wednesday.
