Today afternoon Real drew a very exciting game against FC Barcelona (2-2) at the Reale Arena. The team was superior in almost every facet of the game. The txuri urdin performed an outstanding game against the blaugranas but were only able to secure one point. The stadium was packed with fans. Real gave their all from the beginning, they had the control of the game and dominated. Real took the lead through Oyarzabal, who converted from the penalty spot. What a start to the first half! With a lot of intensity, speed and highly focused, Real stood up to Barca with a lot of nerve, which is not easy. Before the break, Griezmann scored the equaliser, which was not fair as Real had been clearly the better side in the first half.
The second half began with a goal by Suárez. Real decayed a bit but stood up and after a mistake from Ter Stegen, Isak had his glorious action and made no mistake slotting home. Real kept approaching the area of Barca and could have added a third but it was not meant to be.
This is a very valuable point. It could have been three but we played against the best players in the world. We are happy with this draw, Real put in a very good performance. Aupa Real!
