Real Sociedad took one point from their visit to the José Zorrilla after a 0-0 draw vs Valladolid. The team deserved a better prize but they were unable to score and could not take the three points home.
Both teams had opportunities in the first half, even if there were no goals. The txuri urdin had the control of the game and the better goal scoring opportunities fell to Willian José and Portu. The Brazilian tried his best with two headers that did not find the back of the net. The same thing happened to Portu. The best chance of the match fell to Real Valladolid but Hervías’ powerful shot hit the post.
Real kept pushing after the break and created more danger. Willian José could have opened the scoring with a left-footed shot that went wide. Next, after a corner kick, the hosts denied another txuri urdin play. Valladolid almost broke the deadlock through Guardiola but Remiro denied him with a stunning save. In the 90th minute, Oyarzabal slotted home but his strike grazed the post. Many chances but without success.
With this draw, Real is, again, sitting fourth. Next week, Real will welcome FC Barcelona at the Reale Arena. Aurrera Reala!
